Digital Accessibility Statement
This digital accessibility statement applies to the website La Boverie.
Digital accessibility aims to make online content and services usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. It applies to all digital formats: websites, mobile applications, PDF documents, and other digital resources. By improving navigation, comprehension, and interaction, accessibility benefits not only people with disabilities (visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive), but also seniors, individuals experiencing temporary limitations, and all general users.
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) outline the criteria that developers, designers, and editorial teams must follow to ensure the site is accessible to people with disabilities. There are three levels of compliance: A, AA, and AAA.
1. Our Commitment
The website www.laboverie.com was created in collaboration with iMio, which, since its creation, has been actively committed to a continuous improvement process for digital accessibility in compliance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 (website). This directive requires local authorities tasked with a public service mission to make their websites accessible as of September 23, 2020.
2. Compliance Status
Technical
iMio manages the technical portion of the site.
Its iA.SmartWeb tool was audited in October 2020 by Anysurfer in its Plone 4 version (see https://docs.imio.be/iasmartweb/siteweb_v4/accessibilite/index.html.
The recommendations made during this audit were incorporated into the new version of iA.SmartWeb Plone 6 offered since March 2022 and enhanced with further improvements.
Accessibility enhancements are regularly integrated via iA.SmartWeb updates and are listed at https://docs.imio.be/iasmartweb/smartweb_v6/accessibilite/accessibilite.html
Furthermore, the tool was designed to prioritize the inclusion of accessible content, while accounting for the operational reality of local authority staff (see details on that same page https://docs.imio.be/iasmartweb/smartweb_v6/accessibilite/accessibilite.html.
In parallel with the technical aspect, the agents managing our site completed editorial training and workshops provided by iMio.
These sessions emphasize the obligation for a public site to be accessible, raise awareness about accessibility by explaining what it is and what it entails, and train staff to produce accessible content.
Our web manager also regularly reviews the online documentation dedicated to accessibility, which iMio updates with each tool improvement.
Our manager is therefore fully aware of the importance of making the entire site accessible, including images, PDFs, and tables.
The latest simplified digital accessibility audit report dates from December 15, 2023, and focused solely on the technical aspects of iA.SmartWeb. It was conducted by the organization Passe-muraille, which also praised iMio's commitment and actions in this area.
Editorial
The accessibility of the site's content is the responsibility of Mr. Laurent REA FUENTE, Managing Director.
